(More customer reviews)My now 4 year old got this for Christmas last year and he uses it almost every day. Not in the way it is intended, of course, but still. It's fun to build the forts, but I've found that the foam "poles" aren't quite as stiff as they need to be at times to hold the fort up for very long...especially if the kids are boisterous in their play. It serves its fort purpose, though. My son mostly uses it to create "props" for the rest of his imaginary play. He's built a Doctor Octopus costume out of it (arms coming out of his back), a lawn edger, various flags that he and his brother parade around the house with, etc. There's always something with this thing. Some of the down sides are that the bag does not hold all of the pieces very well. There are pieces of this thing all around the house almost all the time. I would suggest getting a better plastic style storage container to keep it more contained. Also, if your kids tend to want to whack each other with things, you will need to supervise. The foam poles have hard ends on them and something about them seems to beg children to whack each other with them. It hurts getting hit by the hard end, though!
